24th March 2024: Kilvey Hill Gathering at… Kilvey Hill

4th March 2024: Council Rethink Kilvey Hill Disposal

Although no decision has yet been made on the planning application, one piece of good news is that the council’s planned disposal of part of Kilvey Hill has been postponed due to significant community response. Well done everyone that put in an objection! For more info see https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=358534650506748&set=a.112709815089234.

25th November 2023: Planning Application Submitted

The planning application for the development of Kilvey Hill has now been submitted, and you have until 5th December 2023 to submit an objection or comments.

It is really important that you submit an objection, even if it is only a brief one sentence line.

You can make your objection online at: https://property.swansea.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=RZHHXHEVGEN00&fbclid=IwAR3xwTzj4iSaCKUrgcz6UB-KY121NEvnhKZ35wi8tA0WzAW5GQJUcOG11tg

You can also submit your objection by email to:

Or you can submit your objection in writing to:

Planning and City Regeneration, Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3SN.

An example letter can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/savekilveyhill/posts/pfbid02hRg2AjvSRauL44CYY4zDJ3LoobEtDx13KSNvWHjePv8WhnLj88rsdepvudp4xekml

There will be a drop in session where you can get advice on submitting an objection this Wednesday 29th November at the Dockers Club, 5pm until 7pm, so if you want to ask question then that is the place to go.

Once again, please submit an objection even if it is only a brief comment saying why you object.  It doesn’t have to be technical although obviously that would be more beneficial, but all objections will be noted so it is important to get an objection in regardless of whether it is a technical objection or not.

The final decision from the council will be made on 1st March 2024.

Sat 27th May 2023 Protest

Protest Outside County Hall. Join our second march for answers regarding the above this Saturday 27/5/23 leaving Gwyn Mission Kilvey Rd @12 .. Ship Inn @1p.m. arriving County Hall by 2p.m for a rally. Please join us.

The pre-planning proposals for Kilvey hill fall far short of what was promised and leave nearly all our questions unanswered on safety, nature, open space, noise, traffic, parking , toxic deposits, CO2 Emissions, materials, traditional access , horse / bike exclusion etc.

Whilst County Hall is closed this Saturday, a meeting of Councillors discussing skyline – council plans is being held on June 2nd. The lack of transparency surely needs addressing if we are to make informed choices on any planning proposals. The council have lied about public funding and local community excluded , ignored and treated as an afterthought despite claims to the contrary. This is in danger of going ahead through the back door and acting now may at least forge considerations as the powers that be rush to gamble at least ยฃ12.5,000,000 of our taxes on an unpopular presumptuous venture with irreversible consequences for Kilvey hill.
